Depave Paradise @ St. Brigid

Help depave part of our Schoolyard!

Join us Friday, April 28th at 3:00pm to rip up the asphalt and put it into a bin to be recycled.

Join us Friday, May 5th at 3:00pm to plant a garden in its place!

Food will be provided for volunteers.

The event will have: kids corner, entertainment, first aid tent, refreshments for the volunteers and hands on hardwork!

When: 3 pm - 7 pm

May Day Weekend 2017 @ Workers Arts and Heritage Centre

Celebrate May Day Weekend and the beginning of the growing season with a series of family-friendly events brought to you by Workers Arts & Heritage Centre and the Hamilton and District Labour Council!

This year's slate of May Day Weekend festivities will allow visitors to create works of art that reflect on and honour agricultural workers in Canada and beyond. Drop in to contribute to a monumental work of public art by Dave Hind and the Aluminum Quilting Society, commissioned by the city for the Hamilton Farmer's Market. Or sign up in advance for youth and adult printmaking workshops lead by local artists Matt McInnes and Ingrid Mayrhofer!
